Vietnam'S Textile Industry Is Developing Rapidly &Nbsp; Equipment Is Lagging Behind.

Vietnam's textile and garment products have been Vietnam's second main export projects for a long time. There are about 2000 textile and garment enterprises in Vietnam (25% of foreign-funded enterprises), and 2/3 of the North Vietnamese region.

The Vietnamese government plans to build 11 textile and garment industrial parks in 11 provinces and cities such as Haiphong, North Ning, Xin'an, Taiping, Qinghua and Da Nang after 2010.

At present, three parks in Xin'an, Pingyang and Da Nang are under construction and have begun to take shape.

Another plan is to start producing 80 thousand tons of embryo cotton, 120 thousand tons of roving, 300 thousand tons of various yarns, 1 billion 400 million square meters of finished fabrics, 500 million knitted products and 1 billion 500 million garments, starting in 2010.

Exports range from 8 billion to 9 billion dollars.

Vietnam now has about 545 weaving factories (including foreign textile factories). Most of the manufacturers fail to invest and upgrade their production facilities in general. The production and operation of the production lines are poor due to the increase or decrease of equipment. They are able to invest in the whole plant, while the products weaken the market competitiveness under the pressure of new equipment and high depreciation. Moreover, when technicians learn new production technology operations, there are also shortages of technicians and workers, resulting in the embarrassment of the new equipment being unable to run.
