Is it necessary to make up the lesson of "quality"? Perhaps some people think that this is a teacup; perhaps some people think that there is no time to take care of it. In fact, for our sewing machinery enterprises, the quality of this lesson is necessary, and is imminent.
It is understood that since 2008, the main leaders of China Sewing Machinery Association have repeatedly reminded industry enterprises on different occasions: to promote the pformation and upgrading of enterprises, and never forget the eternal topic of "quality".

In mid July 2008, the China Sewing Machinery Association held a symposium on industry science and technology work in Ningbo, Zhejiang, and organized representatives of the backbone sewing machine enterprises to visit and visit the local garment enterprises. Technical leaders from 19 key enterprises have visited Ningbo Shi Dan Nu Group Co., Ltd. and YOUNGOR (Group) Garments Co., Ltd.
This is a representative garment manufacturer in China. It is a top class garment manufacturer in China, regardless of its brand influence or reputation. While sighing for the large scale of these garment enterprises, the representatives of the backbone sewing machine enterprises have to face an embarrassing phenomenon. There is hardly a domestic brand sewing machine in the production workshop of the large garment enterprises. Even after finding the home made brand finishing equipment, the most heard is the feedback from the clothing enterprises to the product quality problems.
At this moment, in the face of the domestic high-end clothing enterprises in domestic high-end clothing enterprises in the domestic high-end market "no cone" situation, I believe that China's sewing machinery industry leading figures are also fidgety.
There is no coincidence. Not long ago, at the five two general meeting of the Shanghai Sewing Machinery Industry Association, as the special representative of the conference, Dai Ziyi, Secretary General of the Shanghai garment industry association, made a special report on the development of the garment industry, which caused many thoughts.
The main idea of this report is that this year, the clothing industry is only "falling into the autumn" rather than "winter". As a whole, the development of China's garment industry has maintained a growth trend, but the growth rate has slowed down.
It is noteworthy that at present, the polarization of the domestic garment industry is becoming more and more serious. The "28 phenomenon" (that is, about 10%-20% garment enterprises in the whole industry, has created about 80% of the industry profits), while in some areas, small and medium-sized enterprises have gone bankrupt, big brands and large enterprises still maintain relatively good momentum of development.
By connecting these two seemingly unrelated facts to ponder, we can understand the inevitability and seriousness of the domestic sewing machine's entry into the domestic large garment enterprises and its market effect. Why will China's sewing machinery industry enter the "winter" ahead of the garment industry this year?
Why is there so much time difference in the trend of domestic sewing machine and garment industry? The author believes that as the main customers of domestic sewing machine products are small and medium-sized garment enterprises at the low end of China's apparel industry chain, due to the "28 phenomenon" of domestic garment industry and the shrinking market demand, domestic suppliers of whole machines are very sensitive to the impact and pressure. At the same time, in the relatively prosperous high-end sewing machine market, domestic suppliers can not share their share.
It should be noted that in recent years, domestic sewing machine enterprises have made many efforts and attempts to expand such high-end customers as large garment enterprises, and have made some progress. But successful enterprises are only few and far between, and some enterprises still have "show" colors. The domestic brand sewing machine has been seriously marginalized in the mainstream clothing enterprises in China, so far it is still a common phenomenon.

Speaking of the principles of selecting sewing equipment, many equipment managers of large domestic garment enterprises give the author a clear answer: "rather expensive, but the quality of equipment must be better". The foreign brand sewing machinery that accords with this principle is their natural choice. Only by comparison can we have differentiation. Compared with the "foreign machine", the domestic brand sewing equipment is indeed somewhat inferior. This is a fact that we do not want to see but have to accept and face.
After 30 years, especially the rapid development in the past 10 years, domestic brand sewing equipment has made great progress in varieties, quality and technical level, and has certain competitive advantages. However, compared with foreign brand products, there are still some gaps in quality reliability, technical stability and service life.
At present, we need to seriously reflect that in the process of internationalization of China's sewing machine industry, the main weakness that restricts the industry from "big" to "strong" is still the quality of products, or the lack of independent innovation capability is the key issue of the overall competitiveness of the industry, and the gap between product quality and international brand is only an external performance.
Because of the quality of product use, any innovation of R & D and its varieties is of no practical significance. In this sense, China's sewing machinery industry must truly enter the ranks of the world's first-class products, and it is more urgent to upgrade the quality of products than to increase the variety of products.
In addition, we need to reflect on the evaluation and recognition of the quality of domestic sewing machine products. Over the years, the overall product quality of the industry has increased, and some of them have partial technological breakthroughs, which must be fully affirmed.
As of November 2008, a total of 6 enterprises in the industry were awarded the title of "China famous brand", and more than ten enterprises were identified as "China famous trademarks". Besides the reputation of the country name, they were rated as provincial and municipal brand names. This reflects the market position of domestic sewing machine products.
But entering the hall of honor does not mean climbing the peak of quality. We can not forget that in the 80 and 90s of twentieth Century, many enterprises in the industry had won the national quality management award or the gold and silver awards, but now most enterprises have faded away or even disappeared. Historical experience tells us: "Gold Award silver award is not as user praise, gold cup silver cup than user reputation." The quality of domestic sewing machine does not need to be proved by trophies.

What is the gap between the quality of domestic sewing machine and foreign brands? "Let's take a breath." this is what many industry insiders often say is a layer of window paper that needs to be broken. In terms of a quality index value, the gap seems to be negligible, but with many minor gaps superimposed, the domestic sewing machine has been greatly reduced by foreign products.
Today, pformation and upgrading has become the consensus of the whole industry. Improving the quality and performance of products should be the key to industrial pformation and upgrading. The author thinks that it is very necessary to make up the lesson of "quality".
Strengthening quality management consciousness. There are two entirely different views on quality: enterprise or user centered. The gap of physical quality can be measured, and the gap of quality consciousness can also be found.
Although Japan's domestic counterparts and domestic manufacturers are stumbling over the market in recent years, their "all needs from the needs of users, all for the interests of users", the strong sense of quality and service is everywhere, and throughout the whole process of R & D, manufacturing and marketing.
"Zero defect" and "zero fault" have risen from the slogan to the code of conduct for enterprises, so the Japanese sewing machine brand has entered the Chinese market since the end of the 1970s, and it is not surprising that the top spot of the market sales volume has not been shaken up to now.
