1979 Cultural Creative Park is a municipal key project of Qingdao in 2025, covering an area of 97 mu and a commercial area of 34000 square meters. The project is transformed from the old factory building of Qingdao No. 10 Textile Factory (Qingdao Dayuan Textile Factory), which was founded in 1979. It is expected to officially open in June this year. At that time, the old factory building with low buildings and mottled trees will turn Butterfly into a creative park and "online red card printing place" integrating cultural experience, tourism and commerce, filling the gap of industrial heritage and cultural experience projects in Jimo District and northern Qingdao, and becoming a new landmark of urban culture and tourism.

In the development process of Jimo District's textile industry, Qingdao No. 10 Weaving Factory has left a strong mark. It not only epitomizes the development of Jimo textile industry, but also carries the youth memory of a generation of textile people. With the passage of time and the change of industry, this old factory has experienced the "ending" and "ebbing tide" after the industrial adjustment. The land in the prime area of the main urban area of Jimo will be idle for a long time after "people leave the building empty", which has become a problem to be solved in the urban renewal.

In recent years, Jimo District has taken vitalizing existing resources and promoting urban connotative development as an important part of urban renewal. With the vigorous development of industrial tourism and cultural and creative industries, Jimo District has realized that Qingdao 10th Textile Factory is not only a precious industrial heritage, but also a rich cultural mine.

"This old factory is the cultural symbol and memory carrier for the development of our local textile industry. At present, a cultural and creative sculpture "1979" stands at the entrance square of the Creative Park, which commemorates the founding year of the old textile factory; The landmark water tower in the old factory has been preserved and transformed into a coffee shop; The boiler room with red brick walls and cement floors and full of traces of time has become the investment attraction center and street display area; The old dormitories will be transformed into featured homestays... graffiti, featured image boards and photo and card punches on the mottled walls of the park will let the deep and heavy industrial image collide with the lively and lively trend culture, showing a strong sense of industrial style and fashion everywhere.

In order to dig deeply into the cultural accumulation of the old textile industry, the park takes the old weaving workshop as the "background", and builds the original production workshop into an immersive textile culture exhibition hall, exhibiting a batch of cotton cutting machines, spinning machines and other equipment that carry the memories of a generation. After the opening, the park will also hold textile culture theme exhibition, textile culture experience and other activities, so that visitors can experience the industrial culture bearing the memory of urban development by experiencing traditional crafts such as weaving and tie dyeing, wearing textile workers' clothes, punching cards and other ways, and witness the new vitality of the old industrial sites.

It is understood that the project plans to settle 200 merchants, and 80% of them have completed investment attraction. In addition, the park plans to introduce characteristic merchants such as Qingdao's first store and Jimo's first store, which can drive 500 to 600 jobs. In the future, Jimo District will further do a good job in investment attraction and operation of the park, create more new consumption scenes, make more possibilities for the collision between industrial heritage and urban life, and inject new vitality into the development of the street.
