China International Cotton Conference: Discussion On Cotton Sustainable Development Project

Li Dehua said that China's cotton output and demand rank first in the world. Enterprises should actively shoulder social responsibility, raise China's cotton to a new height, and match the titles of "output first" and "demand first". In order to promote the sustainable development of China's cotton industry, the China Cotton Association and enterprises should actively participate in China's cotton sustainable development projects. At the same time, the government departments should also contribute their own strength, increase the importance of the cotton sector and strengthen the escort work for the cotton industry, to avoid unreasonable distortion of the industrial chain. All outstanding enterprises should adhere to deep cultivation in the cotton field and actively contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of China's cotton.

The China Cotton Association will launch the China Cotton Sustainable Development Project in 2021. Aiming at how to effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of stakeholders and closely integrate the sustainable production of enterprises, residents' consumption and the government's systematic governance, Li Dehua said that the China Cotton Association is actively promoting China's cotton sustainable development projects. Lihua, as an actual participant, It is believed that the production rules and relevant systems in China's cotton sustainable development projects are close to the facts, and it is hoped that other enterprises will actively participate in the project. Although they will invest some energy and financial resources in the early stage, they will certainly benefit from it in the later stage. After comparing China's cotton sustainable development project and relevant cotton projects in the United States and Brazil, he believes that China's cotton sustainable development project has a more solid foundation, and firmly believes that China's cotton sustainable development project will achieve great success.
