State Post Office: In The First Three Quarters, 823 Poor Counties Received More Than 3 Billion 900 Million Express Pieces.

A few days ago, at the regular press conference held in the fourth quarter of 2019 at the State Post Office, Zhang Xingzhao, deputy secretary of the State Post Bureau Party committee, said that in the first three quarters of this year, more than 3 billion 924 million express pieces were sent to 823 poor counties, which made positive contributions to the increase of farmers' income in poor areas.

According to the briefing, postal and express delivery have become an important force for the uplink of agricultural products. In the first half of the year, supporting poor counties to achieve network sales of 110 billion 990 million yuan, an increase of 29.5% over the same period last year. Up to now, express outlets have covered more than 30 thousand villages and towns. The coverage rate of township express outlets has reached 95%, and 26 provinces (districts and municipalities) have achieved full coverage of express outlets and townships.

Up to now, courier companies have built 905 projects of "one place, one product" in the whole country, and the "express +" modern agriculture head card project has reached 23 in the country with an annual turnover of more than ten million pieces. In the first three quarters of this year, the express enterprises supported 1143 major local featured agricultural products, and distributed 284 thousand tons of special agricultural products to the city, an increase of 69% over the same period last year, and the transaction volume was 3 billion 880 million yuan, up 25.6% over the same period.

Since the beginning of this year, there have been 65 items of special agricultural products with more than 100 thousand pieces of postal parcels, and 50 items of agricultural products trading volume exceeding 5 million yuan.

According to the relevant media, in recent years, express logistics enterprises have joined the poverty alleviation business. According to incomplete statistics, private express enterprises above Designated Size directly invest funds and materials (discount) to 518 million yuan, consume 117 million yuan of special agricultural products in poor areas, and absorb 268 thousand and 600 workers in poor areas to help sell 367 million yuan of agricultural products in poverty-stricken areas.
