Guangzhou customs reported on April 11th that the first month when the Sino Chile FTA was upgraded, the import and export enterprises in Guangzhou customs area received a profit of about 23 million yuan (the same below).

Data show that the relevant enterprises imported from Chile salmon, wine, moss and mussel products and other products benefited from the value of about 53 million yuan, enjoy a preferential tax of about 7 million yuan; the Guangzhou Customs issued a total of 1505 certificates of origin for the Chilean electrical equipment, toys, machinery and equipment, plastic products, furniture and clothing, and so on, with a value of 274 million yuan and a tax discount of about 16 million yuan.

The agreement between the government of the People's Republic of China and the government of the Republic of Chile on the revision of the free trade agreement and the supplementary agreement on trade in services in the free trade agreement (hereinafter referred to as the protocol) was formally implemented in March 1st this year. It is the first FTA upgrade agreement signed by China and Latin American countries, which has positive significance for promoting economic cooperation between China and Chile and deepening bilateral economic and trade development.

The protocol provides more preferential treatment to import and export enterprises than the upgraded version.

The standards of origin are more relaxed and more precise, and the application and application of certificates of origin are more convenient.

In addition, the certificate of origin has been realized, and electronic information networking has been realized.

After the entry into force of the protocol, Chile immediately abolished tariffs on 24 products, such as textiles, clothing and household appliances, and the proportion of products that would impose zero tariffs on each side would reach about 98%.

Home appliances, textiles and garments, as the dominant industries in Guangdong, have great potential for Guangdong enterprises to expand exports through the Sino Chile Free Trade Agreement.

Since March 25th, the General Administration of Customs has made self certification printing of certificates of origin in 12 customs directly under the Guangzhou customs.

Guangzhou customs reminds exporters to take the initiative to apply to the Customs for the certificate of origin of China Chile Free Trade Agreement, reduce the cost of trade and enhance the international competitiveness of products.
