Three Packs

A pair of new shoes has been worn for less than a month, and a copper sized hole has been exposed on the sole.

But shops refuse to return the goods, for the reason that they are "exclusive shoes" - they can't play basketball in these shoes.

In late May, Ms. Wu took a pair of sneakers with worn shoes, and rushed to the bell tower to complain.

She said that in April 19th, a shop in South Street spent 288 yuan to buy a pair of sneakers for her son. It was known that the son wore less than 20 days before the sole was worn away, revealing a big hole.

The shop owner said, "the shoes must be used exclusively. Customers wear these shoes to play basketball, and shoes are worn by rough cement. It is human and non quality."

Special shoes must be used exclusively?

The staff of the bell tower Association dismissed this argument as an excuse for businessmen to evade the "three package" responsibility.

Sports shoes, whether used for basketball, football or tennis, should meet the relevant quality standards.

Moreover, the shop is neither a professional sales shop for specific sports equipment, nor does this shoe specify any sport for which all sports should be applied.

According to the "three package" regulation of footwear commodities in Changzhou, the "Three Guarantees" period of footwear commodities is calculated from the date of purchase certificates, and the price of leather shoes is 100-300 yuan for 90 days.

Accordingly, the store eventually changed a pair of new shoes for Ms. Wu.
