Wet method

Woven fabric

It is made from dispersed net forming process with water as carrier. Compared with dry nonwovens with air as the carrier, it has the following characteristics:

(1) in addition to fiber materials, it can also be filled with fillers, adding special materials, giving new functions.

(2) it can be used for the production of super fine fibers less than 1.1dtex under the production of French nonwoven fabrics.

(3) all kinds of

fibre

The mixed degree of freedom is large, which is conducive to the comprehensive utilization of various fiber properties.

(4) because water is used as carrier, the length of fiber used is limited, and the strength and other properties are affected.

(5) the product is tight and feels like "paper", which limits the application scope to a certain extent.

It can be seen from the above that according to the concept of "cloth", the feeling and intensity of wet nonwovens are difficult to compare with that of dry nonwovens. However, according to the concept of functional paper, the versatile nature of its product design is often difficult to meet the requirements of dry nonwovens, and these functions are also required by the development of science and technology.

From this, we can draw a conclusion that "wet nonwovens have a good development prospect". It is necessary to study the development trend of wet nonwovens.

3.1 selection of raw materials

A wide range of fiber materials is suitable for wet nonwovens.

The raw materials currently used are mainly conventional textile fibers (such as viscose, polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, polyamide, polyolefin, etc.) and inorganic fibers (such as aluminum silicate fiber, glass fiber, etc.).

With the development of fiber industry, Ten.cell fiber, two-component composite fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber, activated carbon fiber, calcium alginate fiber, chitin fiber, metal fiber and other special fibers have been started or planned to use.

Foreign reports such as ion exchange fiber and deodorant fiber have been selected. It is expected that the research results of special fibers in fiber research institutes and manufacturers will increase continuously.

3.2 products and Applications

Foreign research and development focuses on filtering materials, medical and health materials, building materials, electrical insulation materials and so on.

Filtration materials are developing towards high strength, high efficiency, low pressure loss, low cost and long life, especially for environmental protection, such as vehicles and other vehicles.

With the continuous improvement of purification requirements, it is no longer limited to remove particulates in the air, but also to remove ionic substances. With the function of filtration, it needs adsorption, deodorization, deodorization and other new needs.

The laminate made of wet nonwovens is a light weight, high strength, high temperature resistance and good dimensional stability. It has been used as floor board, wall material and circuit board. Besides, the application of new resin will also be noticeable.

There are many kinds of batteries and different kinds of battery diaphragms are needed.

With the expansion of battery market, the demand for varieties, performance and quantity of diaphragm has been increasing. Especially the development and popularization of electric vehicles will provide opportunities for the development of battery and battery separator industry, and become one of the main markets concerned in the wet nonwovens industry.

According to the statistics of foreign literatures, the proportion of wet nonwovens used for medical treatment and hygiene and "disposable materials" accounts for a large proportion. In 80s, sanitary napkins were developed only in China.

Fabric

Mask, paper and tablecloth.

This field has broad prospects. Once the development is successful, the market consumption will be considerable.
