India Cotton Export Demand Boost Cotton Market

Cotton prices in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Northern India have risen slightly, mainly due to export demand.

New cotton grade a San card 6 cotton trading price at 35500-36000 rupees / candy, B level

The price is 34500-35000 rupees.

Class a V - 797 sells for 23000-23500 rupees / candy, and B class sells for 24500-25000 rupees.


The average price of new cotton in Maharashtra is 33200-33700 rupees / candy, and the class a 29 millimeter is quoted at 34000-34500 rupees / candy. Before the central bank, the price was quoted at 33200-33700 rupees, and the offer was 34000-34600 rupees later.

On Monday, northern India was active in textile mills and export demand, and cotton prices rose by 20-25 rupees / 20 kilograms, although the quantity reached 34000 packs / 170 kilograms.

India Cotton Association reported that in 2011-12, cotton production in the whole country is expected to record a record of 34 million bags.


Cotton consumption may be less than 25 million packages, so the next year's carry over inventory will be huge.
