For a long time, in the eyes of Chinese people, foreign brands are synonymous with high quality. However, once the aura is stripped, foreign brands also show ugly side.

In March 2006, the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of industry and Commerce announced the results of random sampling of 13 international famous brands, with a pass rate of less than 50%.

However, the bigger shock is still behind.

The latest import footwear quality inspection results of Zhejiang industrial and Commercial Bureau show that: "nearly 80% of the imported brands of international famous brands are of poor quality."

On the list of unqualified products, Corrakhan, George, Martin bird, jele and other famous Spanish and Italy brands are on the list.

Some of the mistakes made by internationally famous brands in quality seem unthinkable.

For example, the problem of steel hooked heart and unqualified hook will cause the deformation of leather shoes and wear instability. If it is serious, it will cause consumers to fall down and wear their feet while wearing clothes. In such an important part, there are several famous brands that do not meet the standard requirements.

More outrageous, many well-known brands marked the implementation of standards is abolished standards, openly "flickering" our consumers.

The price of these international brands is very high. According to the Zhejiang market guide, a leather leather shoe with leather shoes has been sold at a price of 400 yuan, and its sales price has reached 2757 yuan at the counter.

Why do many foreign brands relax their demands on quality when they arrive in China?

This is a question worth pondering deeply.

As we all know, the EU has been setting up or raising the threshold for the entry of footwear in China, making it difficult to describe the situation of footwear in the European Union.

However, under such circumstances, foreign brand shoes are enjoying the highest treatment in China.

The most intuitive contrast is that the EU has already had the standards for the limit of harmful substances in footwear, but there is no such mandatory standard in China at present, allowing foreign brands to enter the Chinese market for profiteering.

Since China's threshold is so low, foreign brands do not have the power to improve the quality requirements.

Secondly, I am afraid it is not related to the omission of the departments concerned.

Is the phenomenon that "the quality of imported shoes of nearly 80% international famous brands is not qualified" exists in Zhejiang only?

Why is it that only the Zhejiang Bureau of industry and Commerce has detected problems?

After the new year's day, Yang Zhimin, deputy director of the national footwear quality supervision and inspection center, admitted in an interview with reporters that they had not many batches of foreign brand leather shoes.

Sampling is too little, and the problem has not been revealed.

He felt "shocked" that the internationally recognized brand of the inspection was only 23.91% of the batch pass rate.

Yang Zhimin believes that the results of the spot checks reflect the real existence of the market.

Obviously, the quality problem of internationally famous footwear has certain universality and representativeness. Is it necessary for relevant departments to review and ponder their work and strictly control consumers?

One thing is for sure. If the departments concerned are strict, some famous international brands are often found out, and they will naturally grasp the quality of their products and dare not slack off. Otherwise, they may lose their reputation.

But the reality is that foreign brands with low quality and high price are rarely investigated for quality problems. What is so strange about the risk of foreign brands being exposed to such a small risk cost?

This event once again sounded the alarm for us. How to protect the interests of domestic enterprises and consumers under the WTO rules is worthy of careful study by relevant departments.
