The Chinese Delegation Launched Diversified International Exchanges And Cooperation At The 92Nd International Woolen Textile Conference

On May 16-18, the 92nd International Wool Textile Conference hosted by the International Wool Textile Organization was held in Kyoto, Japan. The theme of this conference is "Japanese Tradition and Innovation for the Future Development of Woolen Textile". 240 representatives from 23 countries and regions jointly discussed many important issues, including trade and testing standards, market and promotion, sustainable development, and elected a new chairman of the International Woolen Textile Organization.

At the meeting, the Chinese delegation was composed of 30 representatives, all of whom were members of the China Woolen Textile Industry Association. The delegation and participants had a rich and diversified exchange on matters related to the international wool textile industry. Among them, Liu Jiaqiang, Chairman of the China Wool Textile Industry Association, and Yang Xiaoxiong, Chairman of the Nanjing Wool Market delivered speeches at the meeting to convey the voice of China.

Liu Jiaqiang, President of China Wool Textile Industry Association, and Zhang Shuqin, Deputy Secretary General of China Wool Textile Industry Association, attended the meeting of heads of delegations, the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Wool Textile Organization and other working meetings. President Liu Jiaqiang made a speech at relevant activities, exchanged views with different representatives in the international wool textile industry chain, discussed cooperation, friendly consultations, met challenges, and jointly sought opportunities for win-win development of China and the international wool textile industry.

The special meeting between the Chinese delegation and the International Wool Textile Organization was also held after the meeting. The Chinese delegation was led by President Liu Jiaqiang. Klaus Steger, the new Chairman of the International Wool Textile Organization, Michael Jackson, the Vice Chairman, and Dalena White, the Secretary General attended the meeting. Both sides fully exchanged views on sustainable future development.

The Chinese delegation further carried out exchanges in diversified industries. Liu Jiaqiang, president of China Wool Textile Industry Association, and Jose Miguel, representative of Spanish wool industry, exchanged views with George De Kok, leader of the International Wool Textile Organization's wool epidemic safety working group, on the current situation of Spanish wool affected by animal quarantine. Liu Jiaqiang, President of China Wool Textile Industry Association, communicated with Fabio Garzena, President of the International Cashmere and Camel Manufacturers Association, and Qingshui Bangbao, Vice President of the International Cashmere and Camel Manufacturers Association, about relevant work and cooperation. China Australia, China New Zealand and China South Africa wool working group meetings were also held during the meeting, focusing on important issues of bilateral wool trade.

Taking the opportunity of the conference, Liu Jiaqiang, president of China Wool Textile Industry Association, led some delegations to visit the Japanese Shimao Seiki Manufacturing Company, learned about the latest wool knitting equipment and technology of the company, and obtained the most cutting-edge wool textile technology information.

Three Chinese enterprises became sponsors of the conference. At the meeting, Liu Jiaqiang, President of China Wool Textile Industry Association, and Dalena White, Secretary General of the International Wool Textile Organization, visited the booth of Zhejiang Yongjin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
