Ms. Hong Aiyun, acting director of the agricultural and Trade Department of the US embassy in China, said that the US cotton industry is committed to the continuous improvement of cotton planting methods, and has recently launched the US cotton trust code. She is glad to see that many Chinese spinning mills and manufacturers have joined in, congratulating and supporting the cooperation between the cotton and textile industry to achieve a more sustainable future.

In his speech, Mr. Wang Jianhong, vice president of China Cotton Association, pointed out that sustainable development has become the goal and consensus of governments, enterprises and consumers of all countries. China should achieve the "double carbon goal" of carbon peak and carbon neutralization in 2060 by 2030. With the increasing demand for sustainability and transparency in the cotton and textile industries, China and the United States, as the second and third largest cotton producers in the world, have launched the "China cotton" sustainable production system and the US cotton trust code respectively, leading the global cotton planting and textile clothing manufacturing from traditional to sustainable production mode, To build a bridge between sustainable production and consumption of cotton.
