Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association Launched Digital Certification Project

Recently, the Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (ACIMIT) launched a digital certification project. Italian textile machinery manufacturers with this digital certification can easily match their equipment with their customers' production systems.

The first step of the project is to create a shared reference vocabulary for Italian textile machinery manufacturers, thus creating a conceptual model for equipment and production process data management, which can help manufacturers identify and calculate KPI (key performance indicators) for related production. The model was developed by the manufacturing group of the school of management, Polytechnic University of Milan, under the guidance of Professor Marco taisch, a digital transformation expert of manufacturing industry and "industry 4.0" paradigm, and supported by researcher ELISA Negri.

Alessandro Zucchi, chairman of ACIMIT, explained the original intention of launching the project: "member companies feel it necessary to recommend that customers choose devices with common language to match their diverse operating systems (ERP, MES, CRM, etc.). As a result, we have launched the project to help manufacturers across the industry. "

Digital certification - ACIMIT digital label will be issued to member enterprises using the data model. In the long run, due to the adoption of a common device data interface and easier and unified integration of equipment operation information of different equipment manufacturers in the customer company's operating system, the project will help equipment manufacturers improve their customer loyalty.
