Textile Exports Drive Back Growth In October (RMB)

In October, the total exports of textiles and clothing resumed growth in the light of RMB. According to the statistics of China Customs, the export volume was 161 billion 550 million yuan, an increase of 1.2%, of which 71 billion 730 million yuan was exported, 7.3% increased, and clothing exports 89 billion 820 million yuan, down 3.2%. In 1-10 months, textile and apparel exports totaled 1 trillion and 543 billion 480 million yuan, an increase of 2.4%, of which 681 billion 70 million yuan in textile exports, an increase of 5.5%, and 862 billion 410 million yuan in clothing exports.

In dollar terms, textile and apparel exports in October amounted to 22 billion 870 million US dollars, down 1.1%, of which 10 billion 160 million US dollars in textile exports, 4.6% in growth, and 12 billion 710 million US dollars in clothing exports, down 5.3%. 1-10 months, textile and apparel exports totaled 224 billion 810 million US dollars, down 2.6%, of which 99 billion 310 million of textile exports were down 0.1%, and clothing exports were 125 billion 500 million US dollars, down 4.7%.
