In March this year, the Boao forum for Asia, Ma Yun first put forward eWTP such a thing, the full name, Electronic World Trade Platform, the world electronic trading platform, he believes that small and medium-sized enterprises play a very important role in the world economy. In G20, more than half of GDP are created by small and medium-sized enterprises, and contribute to creating employment and innovation.

But SMEs also face several challenges: the challenge to enter the global market, the mechanism platform and infrastructure.

The establishment of eWTP can help young people and women establish small and medium-sized enterprises and enter the global market.

G20 Summit

Soon to be held in Hangzhou, as chairman of the B20 SME development team.

Jack Ma

In a recent interview with CCTV, he further elaborated his conception of eWTP.

vision

From the first day of the Alibaba, all of our customers are SMEs and young people.

Since we serve small and medium enterprises and young people, we must also consider their future and future.

So, after a period of time, combined with our own experience in e-commerce, we put forward an idea of EWTP for G20, that is, the global trading platform for e-commerce. We hope to create a platform for the world's small and medium enterprises to truly belong to themselves and be free and fair and open to trade. It should be driven by business, really set up a solution for small businesses, solve problems for young people, solve problems for small businesses, and today you want to sell goods to Kenya. You want to import goods from Norway today.

Mechanism profile

Our real idea is that nearly two billion young people in the world today, two billion of them are starting to use mobile phones on the Internet, and the children are reluctant to accept the original way of doing business.

More than 100 years ago, the trade of all countries in the world was determined by several emperors. In the past thirty years, world trade was decided by less than ten thousand large enterprises. The ten thousand big enterprises decided the trend of world trade, but the ten thousand enterprises made the whole world economy flourish in the past twenty or thirty years.

It is envisaged that in the next twenty or thirty years, if we can make 23 billion young people through mobile phones and computers, we can buy global sales all over the world. If this day is done, it will make great contributions to the world economy and make great contributions to millions of young people.

So we want to do it based on Alibaba in China.

Electronic Commerce

The experience, for example, is unimaginable. Today, people in Hangzhou can trade goods freely with Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Lhasa, Yunnan and Guizhou.

I feel that since Hangzhou can do business with Yunnan, Guizhou, Lhasa and Xinjiang, why can't Chinese young people do business with Kenya? Why can't they sell Kenya products to China? Why can't they be able to trade with the young people in Argentina?

Countries all over the world are supporting small and medium enterprises, but countries all over the world have not found a way to support small and medium enterprises, because SMEs are relatively difficult to go abroad. Today's customs, taxation and commodity inspection are all prepared for large enterprises. Whether or not countries should open up an economic special zone to serve SMEs, such as 24 hours customs clearance, such as less than a certain annual sales, should be exempt from tax policies. If these policies arise, I believe it will create countless jobs for the world, and it will also bring countless contributions to the world economy, so this is our idea and idea.

Who leads?

I think this leading role should be led by enterprises, and WTO is led by the government.

Sometimes, because of political reasons, trade between countries can not be done. Business problems should be returned to businessmen to discuss. The government should protect and promote policies.

Therefore, I feel that the EWTP proposed today is actually a supplement to WTO. WTO was originally negotiated by the government and implemented by large enterprises. Today we hope that SMEs will be pushed out and enterprises will be promoted and the government can promote and help them.

I firmly believe that this matter must be promoted by enterprises rather than by the government.

How do you do it?

I think first, small and medium-sized enterprises, just like our participants, EWTP participants must put forward a set of ideas, and then talk about the past in a country or a country, for example, we talk with New Zealand, for example, we talk to Canada, hope the other countries, give preferential policies to all small and medium enterprises in China, give preferential policies to China's small and medium enterprises, and we also hope to apply to the Chinese government to give preferential policies to Chinese SMEs and Canadian SMEs.

Then, through the government's environmental construction, for example, if large enterprises are cleared for 24 hours, small businesses should also be cleared for 24 hours, and should be inspected for 24 hours. We should also give some small and medium-sized enterprises some tax exemption policies.

Maybe you don't get a lot of tax revenue, but the jobs you create bring about great changes in the whole economy.
