The Eighth International Biennial Of Fiber Art Is Being Held In Nantong Until October 16Th.

The Eighth International Biennial of fiber art from Lausanne to Beijing, jointly hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts, the Nantong Municipal People's government and the National Academy of art of China, is being held in Nantong's 1895 cultural and creative industry park. The exhibition will be held from September 30, 2014 to October 16th.

The exhibition received 655 entries from 41 countries and regions (363 in China and 292 in foreign countries), with 186 entries (75 in China and 111 in foreign countries), with a total enrollment rate of 28.4% (20.7% in China, 38% in foreign countries).

Compared with the seventh Biennale, 4 exhibitors have been added to the exhibition, with a reduction of 5% in proportion. The quality and specifications of the exhibits are strictly controlled.

The International Symposium on fiber art from Lausanne to Beijing, jointly hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts, Tongxiang Municipal Bureau of culture and the Public Art Institute of the Chinese Academy of art, was held on September 28, 2014 and 29 in Wuzhen west gate, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang province.

This symposium aims to explore and summarize the development course, current situation and academic achievements of the contemporary fiber art exhibition, promote the exchange and popularization of international fiber art, promote the development of Chinese fiber art and culture industry, and share the academic achievements of the biennial exhibition of "international fiber art from Lausanne to Beijing", and form a common understanding that contemporary fiber art continuously condenses the excellent cultures of all countries in the world, learning from each other and making progress together.

More than 100 famous Chinese art theorists and artists from 15 countries will attend this seminar.
