According to the latest data from the General Administration of customs, India, Pakistan and Vietnam were the main import markets for cotton yarn in August 2014, accounting for 70.97% of the total imports of cotton yarn in August.

The volume of cotton yarn in Vietnam and Indonesia increased year by year, respectively, by 54.09% and 9.01% compared with the same period last year. The volume of cotton yarn imported from India, Pakistan, China, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Thailand and the United States declined year by year, representing a decrease of 46.57%, 42.06%, 16.73%, 4.88%, 37.77% and 61.03% compared with the same period last year.

A few days ago, according to HSBC's Vietnam trade forecast report, textile and apparel is still one of Vietnam's main export commodities before 2030, while Vietnam's exports of electronic products and mobile phones will increase significantly.

According to the report, Vietnam's textile and garment exports to China are expected to double by 2020.

In 2013, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports accounted for 6% of China's exports. Vietnam is making use of the advantages of low wages to promote textile and clothing exports, and has also attracted foreign investment in high-end clothing.

The data released by the Beijing branch of the Korea Trade Association showed that in 2014 1~7, North Korea's textile exports to China amounted to US $410 million, and the total export volume in 2014 is expected to reach US $800 million, an increase of nearly 3 times compared with the US $190 million in 2010.

In recent years, the proportion of North Korea's textile exports to China's total exports to China has been increasing year by year, from 16% in 2010 to 17.1% in 2011, rising to 18.2% in 2012, and 20% in 2013, 20.7% and 2014 again to 26.3% in 2014.

According to the analysis, at present, Chinese textile enterprises are exporting raw materials to North Korea and then importing them into locally produced and processed products. The most important factor is that the manpower cost of seeing North Korea is relatively low.
