US Office Giant Staples Has Launched A Massive Push To Online Retail Business.
The world's leading office supplies giant Staples (Staples) in its second quarter earnings report, it said that it would close 140 stores in North America in 2014 and concentrate more resources on e-commerce development.

Staples closed 80 stores in the second quarter, so that the number of stores it closed in the first half of 2014 has reached 96, and it is expected to close 40 stores in the second half of this year.
The sales volume of Staples's online retail platform Staples.com increased by 8% in the second quarter, mainly due to the increase in unit purchases.
