Nike (New York stock exchange code: NKE) first released Nike Considered environmental design in October 28th, combining the concept of sustainable development with the latest movement and innovation products.

Nike has been providing Considered series of environmentally friendly products to consumers for many years. But this is the first time Nike has fully embodied the concept of Considered environmental design in the whole line of products. Besides Nike's six categories of products, basketball, running, football, women training, men's training and sports life, it also includes tennis and ACG products (outdoor sports equipment).

For example, Nike's best selling running shoes, Pegasus, launched this year's 25th anniversary commemorative footwear, becoming the first top running shoes designed by Nike Considered's environmental concept.

Mark Parker, President and chief executive officer of Nike company, said: "when we design and develop products and operate global businesses, it is far from enough to focus solely on solving today's problems. We need to design for the future sustainable economic mode.

For us, this is to reduce consumption of resources, use more sustainable materials and renewable energy to create new products. "

Nike's Considered environmental design aims at developing innovative products with minimal environmental impact by reducing waste in design and development processes, using environmental protection materials and eliminating toxic substances.

Now, Nike's designers need to make the best sustainable design choices at the very beginning of the creative process, thus bringing Nike's most comprehensive environmental design product to date.

Since 1990, after the introduction of the "shoe recycling" footwear recycling project, sustainable development has become the focus of Nike's development.

In the last year alone, Nike launched Considered environmentally-friendly Air Jordan XX3 (Jordan's twenty-third generation basketball shoes). At the same time, Nike has provided one hundred percent of the full set of recycled polyester products for athletes participating in the competition.

Nike also announced its ambitious Considered environmental goals: Nike 100% footwear products reached Considered environmental requirements before 2011; all garments before 2015, all sports equipment reached Considered environmental requirements before 2020.

The above goal means that Nike will reduce its waste in the supply chain by 17% and increase the use of 20% of the environmental protection materials.

Rory Vergel, general manager of Considered environmental protection, Nike, said: "all of these start with design and engineering. Nike's designers will lead the process of Considered environmental design, create more sustainable products, and not at the expense of consumer needs at the same time," said Lorrie Vogel.

We are proud of what we have achieved. It marks an important step towards achieving Considered environmental protection goals for all Nike footwear, clothing and sports equipment. "

Nike's long-term plan for environmental protection in Considered is to design completely recyclable products, that is, to minimize the use of materials in production. The design takes into account the ease of disassembly, so that the product can be recycled into new products or return to nature safely after the life of the product.

Nike has realized that this work can not be done alone and has always attached great importance to the value of cooperation. Therefore, Nike and Natural Step cooperate to help them plan for the future.

Natural Step is an international non-profit organization dedicated to education and research in the field of sustainable development.

Dr. Carle Karl-Henrik, founder of Natural Step, said: "the cooperation between Natural Step institutions and Nike in creating sustainable futures has been going on for 10 years," said Dr. Step Karl-Henrik.

Nike has achieved remarkable results.

We are proud to be partners in our development path. "

Richard Blum, senior consultant at Natural Step, said: "Nike's commitment and leadership have inspired me deeply." (Richard Blume)

Nike is guided by the concept of sustainability and creates Considered environmental goals, ensuring that its innovative work incorporates accurate and scientific understanding of sustainable concepts.

We believe this will make Nike company different and help Nike better develop its future.
