The northwest of China is mainly composed of Mongolian, Hui, Uygur, Kazakh, Kirgiz and other ethnic minorities. The environment in Northwest China is relatively dry, and the temperature in winter and summer is very intense. There are two types of grassland and desert.

In this area, the common feature of clothing is that the design fashion is relatively simple, and the clothing accessories are few. The fabrics are mostly made of silk suitable for the high temperature and dry weather in summer and the warm cloth with good thermal performance in winter. The women's clothing is mostly skirt, with pleats from the chest, and the next clothes are wide. Men's clothes are mostly trousers, long tube leather boots (except the Hui nationality), and the trouser legs are stuck into boots, which has the effect of preventing cold.

The Hui nationality, the Dongxiang people and the Baoan people in Northwest China are simply dressed, and the clothing features are mainly on the tops and headwears.

They mainly wear white or black ebony small round cap, wear a white jacket, and wear a black shoulder.

Yugur, Tu and other ethnic groups are good at textiles. Since ancient times, they have used "Brown" and "Brown" to make clothes.

Northwest China is used for higher terrain and cold climate in plateau areas. Some ethnic groups wear many kinds of gowns, such as fur robes, cotton robes, gowns and so on, and wear red and blue belts.

Tu women wear colorful sleeves robe, from shoulder to cuff, with red, green, black, yellow and white five kinds of coloured strips of cloth, silk or satin, which are said to bring good harvest and auspiciousness.

Men of Uygur, Kazakh, Kirgiz, Tajik and other ethnic groups wear more than the "button" clasp without robe. The women of Dongxiang, salar, Xibe, Uygur, Kazak, Kirgiz, Tajik, Uzi, Buick and Russians also like to wear long robes or different length of dress, some coat dark colored long coat or various styles of shoulder.

Northwest Minority perspective is rich and colorful.

Ethnic minorities such as Tu, Yugur, Uygur, Kazak, Kirgiz, Tajik and so on are mostly wearing various kinds of national characteristics of hats or covers.
