In June 14th, the reporter learned from the fifteenth Shanghai international textile industry exhibition, which was opened at 14, that "supporting the recycling of waste textiles" was first written into the "12th Five-Year plan" of China's textile industry (2011-2015 years) and will be announced in the near future. This means, like recycled paper and recycled plastics, "regeneration". clothing It will also enter the life of the people.

According to the relevant responsible person of the China Textile Industry Association, the policy of guiding the development direction of China's textile industry in the next 5 years is mainly composed of four sentences: first, to promote the industrialization and application of high technology and new generation of functional and differential fibers; two, to accelerate the development of industrial textile products; three, to promote the autonomy of high-end textile machinery and accessories, and four to support the recycling of waste textiles.

The person in charge stressed that as the country with the largest population in the world and a large textile country, China has formulated the policy of "recycling of waste textiles", which is of great significance both to itself and to the world.

Statistics show that in 2010, China's fiber processing volume reached 41 million 300 thousand tons, an increase of about 60% compared to 2005, accounting for more than 50% of the total fiber processing volume in the world. Among them, the annual output of clothing is as high as 28 billion 500 million pieces. If we spread it to 7 billion of the world's population, we can get 4 pieces per person.

According to the plan, in the next 5 years, China will initially set up a textile recycling fiber recycling system. By 2015, the whole country fibre The total processing capacity is expected to reach 51 million 500 thousand tons, of which about 15% is recycled fiber.

"Over the past 5 years, China's fiber processing volume has increased by an average of 9.95% annually. In the next 5 years, only about 4.5% growth is expected to be less than half of the past 5 years. This means that China's textile industry will no longer take the old road of volume expansion, but will strive for quality improvement and sustainable development. China textile industry association responsible person said.

According to the analysis, the soaring price of cotton and crude oil in recent two years is the direct motivation for China to introduce the policy of "recycling of waste textiles". And the transformation of the mode of economic development advocated by Scientific Outlook on Development has fundamentally accelerated the transformation of the traditional textile industry. But how to improve the performance of regenerated fiber and how to separate different fibers from a fabric made of various raw materials remains to be solved.

In addition to technological research and industrial support, how to make ordinary consumers accept the "new things" from the inside of "recycled fabric" and "recycled clothing" is also a "hole" that needs to be crossed. Recently, Shanghai has begun to present two kinds of dry and wet garbage cans to some pilot families. Dry garbage cans can be placed in waste textiles and plastic bottles for recycling purposes. But if these rubbish "change" into "recycled clothing", whether it can be accepted by consumers is still to be tested.

According to China Textile Industry Association Introduction, in addition to the upcoming implementation of the "recycling of waste textiles", over the past 5 years, a number of new technologies for energy saving and emission reduction have been applied in China's textile industry. For example, the utilization ratio of comprehensive utilization technology of waste heat recovery, reclaimed water reuse, mercerizing and alkali recovery has reached 50%. The production of viscose fiber with renewable, degradable bamboo pulp and hemp stalk pulp has been industrialized.

By implementing a series of comprehensive measures, it is estimated that the energy consumption of China's textile industrial units will be reduced by 18% in 2015 compared with 2010. The total intensity of industrial carbon dioxide and the total value of industrial added value will be reduced by 20%.
