According to the statistics of the Jinjiang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Jinjiang's footwear exports reached 1 billion 100 million US dollars in the first half of 2010, an increase of 6.8% over the same period last year, of which the self operated export volume was about 995 million US dollars, an increase of more than 70%.

The recovery of export market has increasingly highlighted the labor difficulties of labor-intensive footwear enterprises. In the second half of this year, Jinjiang footwear enterprises began to recruit workers, and many enterprises still faced the problem of underemployment.
