Sportswear Company Company, parent of Stone Island, announced that it had already sold 30% of Stone Island to Singapore's sovereign investment fund, but did not disclose the specific paction amount.

In 2016, sales of Sportswear Company amounted to 109 million euros, compared with 87 million euros in 2015, an increase of 26% over the same period; EBITDA (profit before depreciation and amortization) was 20 million euros, an increase of 52% over the same period last year.

Carlo Rivetti said: "I am very glad to have the opportunity to cooperate with Temasek and help Stone Island enhance the competitiveness in the international market on the premise of ensuring continuity and autonomy of the management team."

In fact, as early as 2013, Sportswear Comapny hired Rothschild Rothschild as a financial adviser to assess the offer received for the acquisition of Stone Island, but ultimately did not choose to sell it.

Temasek (Temasek) is a Singapore based investment company founded in 1974.

Their portfolios cover various business areas, such as telecommunications, media and technology, financial services, pportation and industry, consumption and real estate, life sciences and integrated agriculture, and energy and resources.

Temasek is also one of the shareholders of Moncler, a luxury outdoor apparel brand in Italy. Together with Swiss tourism retail companies Dufry, it has acquired a stake in Ruffini Partecipazioni 24.4% of the holding company and has become a new investor in Moncler.

Ruffini Partecipazioni owns a stake in Moncler 27%.

Temasek (Temasek) is also an investor of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba, Singapore Airlines and Spanish oil company Repsol.
