Jinjiang Economic Daily: from the perspective of market development in the past two years, what do you think the market focus of the textile industry should be in the future?


Wu Xiujian: in a word, to describe the domestic textile market, I think it is "domestic demand is still the mainstream of the market, and the pulling force of economic growth will be changed from export oriented to domestic demand oriented".


Statistics show that after the financial crisis, the proportion of domestic sales of China's textile industry showed an obvious upward trend. Because with the steady growth of gross domestic product, disposable income has also increased year by year, which effectively improves the overall purchasing power of consumers, thus bringing business opportunities to producers of consumer goods, including clothing and footwear.


Statistics from the National Bureau of statistics can prove that China's per capita consumption of clothing increased from 442.6 yuan in 2007 to 677.2 yuan in 2010, with a compound annual growth rate of 15.8%. It will reach RMB 1526 in 2015, and the compound annual growth rate will reach 17.3% during the period from 2011 to 2015. Besides urban areas, clothing consumption in rural areas is also growing rapidly.


Therefore, the growth of domestic demand market will continue to play an important supporting role in the production and sales of textile industry. China has a population of 1 billion 300 million, so the growth of China's domestic demand market is very large.


Constructing a fast supply chain mechanism

We believe that textile enterprises should pay close attention to the development trend of the textile and garment world, strengthen product market research, adapt to the characteristics of small and fast changing textile products, develop and develop new products in a timely manner, penetrate, expand and occupy the target market with differentiated products, and enhance the competitiveness of China's textiles in the international market. This requires the textile enterprises to have a fast supply chain reaction capability.
